Lloyd in Sao Paulo bij Coyne
Rahal was eerder in gesprek met Dale Coyne Racing om daar te gaan rijden. Dit contact liep op niets uit. Dale Coyne komt komend weekend in Sao Paulo in actie met Alex Lloyd. Hij racet, naast de rijdende chicane Milka Duno, in de tweede teamauto.

Rookie Sato
Een opvallende naam komend weekend in Sao Paulo is Takumo Sato. De 33-jarige Japanner is 91-voudig deelnemer aan de Grand Prix’ Formule 1. Hij verzamelde in totaal 44 WK-punten. Hij maakt nu zijn debuut in de IndyCars. Daardoor krijgt de ervaren coureur dit seizoen het predikaat van rookie.
